Kool-aid Playdough Day

Today I got to play with Kool-Aid Playdough. When my Mommy has the mixer out and is making cookies or cakes; she always makes me some kool-aid playdough. She says she wishes someone gave her granny that recipe when she was a kid. Sure beats boring salt and flour. Smells yuuummmmy! Today we did a batch in grape and a batch in fruit punch.

Kool-Aid Play Dough
Kids love the smell!

2 1/2 cups flour

1 cup salt

3 tablespoons vegetable oil

2 cups boiling water

2 packages unsweetened Kool-Aid

Mix dry ingredients.
Add oil and water.
Wearing gloves, knead for 10 minutes. (I skip this step and throw it into the kitchen-aid.)
Store in zip lock bag in refrigerator.

Happy Birthday Jason

Today was my cousin Jason's birthday party. He turned 10.

Sports

I invented a new game called spike ball tennis. I took my badminton racket and took the spike balls that fall from sweetgum trees and hit them as hard as I could over the fence and into the ditch. Good Times!

Thursday night was my first BBall game of the season. I got to guard a player that was just like me - we played chase or tag while everyone else played basketball. We had great fun.

Billiards

Today was yet another fun Sunday. We spent most of the day at home. Then we drove into town to do some errands. We stopped by to say hi to granny and pap-razzi. It was so cool! When we got their Great Aunt Eddie and Joe was there. I got to play Aunt Eddie in a game of pool. I think we both need more lessons. I also got to eat "Chicken on a Bone". Another one of my favorite foods.

Painting and Inventing

This weekend was very laid back and left lots of room for me to be creative and invent. I LOVE TO INVENT!

I would like to share with you about my friend Cesar. He is like a pen pal. Mommy and Daddy sponsor him through World Vision. It is neat to know someone that has my birthday all the way in Peru. Please pray for my friend and his family.

Cesar Anthony lives with his parents, 4 brothers, and 4 sisters. His parents struggle to provide for the family. His father is a shop keeper. Despite their efforts, it is difficult to meet the family's needs. Cesar Anthony is growing up in a poor community in the Latin American country of Peru. Typical homes are constructed of wood, adobe or cement bricks. The roofs on these small homes are made of corrugated iron or straw. Children and their families survive on a diet high in carbohydrates like potatoes, corn, noodles and bread. Peru's terrain is picturesque with its high mountains and deep valleys. Cesar Anthony is in primary school and he enjoys spelling. He helps at home by carrying water. He likes to play with toy cars. He is in satisfactory health.

T-Rex

Wow! What a huge T-Rex. Thanks Grandpa Joe. Daddy and I had a great time this afternoon putting it together and watching Harry Potter.
