Great Wolf Lodge - Kansas City

Over Spring Break & Daddy’s Birthday (March 19-21) we went to the Great Wolf Lodge in Kansas City, MO. We left Fort Smith and it was 64 degrees. When we arrived in Kansas City we were in the middle of a really bad snow storm and it was only 19 degrees. They had 6 inches within an hour, thankfully Mommy was able to drive carefully through it to get us to our hotel. The next day when I woke up there was a foot of snow. For some reason it snows every year on my Daddy’s Birthday.

The Great Wolf Lodge is 100% geared toward kids like me. It is an indoor water park/hotel. It has a craft room, arcade, bedtime stories at the Grand Clock, events every night like a dance party with kid friendly tunes, but my two most favorite things were the kids suite in our room & MagiQuest. The kids suite had bunk beds and my own tv. MagiQuest was so neat. It was a scavenger type hunt. First you get this magic wand and a clue. The clues take you to pictures, treasure chests, and hidden places throughout the hotel. It all has a mysterious forest theme. Once you have collected all of your clues you have to go to the dragon’s lair and defeat the dragon. Defeating the Dragon was hard but I finally did it. The clues are scattered over 4 floors in special sections. We had to go up and down the stairs many times. Daddy had no clue he would get such a workout. He says it didn’t make his knees very happy. We had such a great time. I was so sad to go home.
